Thursday, October 26 – 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

With all the misinformation and fake news in our day-to-day lives, how can we sort out the truth? Join our panel discussion to find out. Dr. Craig Miller and Dr. Katrina Sinclair, history professors at Pennsylvania College of Technology, open with an historical perspective of fake news and explain why it is so prevalent today. Panel members share helpful tips on how to ascertain the truth. Learn where to find reliable information about political candidates from a member of the League of Women Voters of the Lewisburg Area. Then explore ways to evaluate websites with Lewisburg Area High School librarian Laurie Miller and discover the numerous free resources and help available at the library with Linda Homa, reference librarian for the Union County Library System.
