**Starting June 7. Challenge yourself to read 1,000 minutes this summer and earn brag tags along the way. For every 125 minutes read (about 20 minutes a day) earn up to one brag tag a week! Complete the challenge by the end of the summer and you earn a free book of your choice! –  Assemble cool 2-D and 3-D structures using marshmallows.

Pokemon Go Hunt – Join Ms. Daylin on her Pokemon journey through town. Teens can bring their Pokemon Go apps along and will be walking around to find Pokestops and gyms. Parents will need to sign a permission form to attend. Register Online

3:30 pm – 4:30 pm Mythical Beast Scavenger Hunt – Teens will be teaming up with others to learn and discover the different mythological beasts. Teams will face challenges to earn different beast cards. Register Online

Pokemon Go The West End Library is a Pokemon Gym and is only a few feet away from an additional gym and Pokestops. Patrons can play outside and meet other fans of the game. Pokemon Go Lures will be set off periodically during the event.

During Library Hours Mini Orchard with Apple and Grapefruit SeedsChildren will receive a packet containing a glass jar, potting soil, apple and grapefruit seeds, and a small statue to put in their orchard.

Fridays, June 4 & 18, July 2, 16, 30, & Aug 6 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Mah Jongg – Mah Jongg is a game of skill, strategy, and calculation and involves a degree of chance. No experience is needed. An instructor is on hand to teach newcomers this tile-based game.

Every month will be a new creative writing prompt. Prompts will be announced on the 1st of each month. Contest closes the 3rd Friday of each month. Winners will be announced the following week.
